A 'Special' place to stay with versatile accommodation in an Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty.

We have travelled extensively ourselves and enjoy meeting and sharing our home with fellow travellers and we want our guests to feel this is a special place to stay so we will only take one booking at a time.

We can meet from airports and are happy to provide packed lunches and onward transport of suitcases.

We share our home with our working cocker spaniel, 'Tarka'.

Our home is ideally located for exploring some of the most beautiful parts of southern England where there are numerous places to visit, including Shaftesbury - 4.5 miles, a Saxon Hilltop Town has much to see includung 'Gold Hill' made famous by the Hovis Advertisement. Salisbury - 18 miles is a bustling old city with good shops and a Cathedral spire that can be seen for miles and Salisbury Racecourse.   Stonehenge - 20 miles visible from the A303 is one of the top UK visited sites. Longleat and the Safari Park, Stourhead House and Gardens, Wilton House and the spectacular Dorset coast which is only 1 hour away.

Nearby Wardour Woods, easily accessed from the house, lead to Wardour Castle, an English Heritage Monument well worth a visit. Alternatively, the Ox Drove which runs along the high ridge between here and Salisbury gives wonderful views.

The whole area is renowned for its numerous footpaths and bridleways, which provide wonderful walking and cycling. These include The Wessex Ridgeway, Fontmell Down, Melbury Beacon and Win Green with views on a clear day to the Isle of Wight.
